Testimonials |
When my father passed away I would have liked to have worn a KaddishBand. Funeral homes should give these away at services. |

I have been wearing mine every day since I received it. For me, it serves as a reminder of my Mom, I think of her whenever I look down at it - not in a negative or sad way - but as a reminder of how much love she gave us every day and continues to give us now. |

It not only reminds the individual wearing the band of their loss but it enables those that are grieving to talk about their loss to those that inquire about the band. Thanks very much.

When should I wear my KaddishBand™? |
KaddishBands™ were created to help with the passing of a family member, friend, or loved one, consistent with the recital of the Mourner's Kaddish. |
However, you can wear your Kaddishband™ whenever it feels appropriate to you. Suggestions have included the anniversary of Yitzhak Rabin's assassination or 9/11, Yom Ha'Shoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), and Tisha b'Av. |
Included also is a card that fits in your wallet or purse, printed with the full Mourner’s Kaddish prayer in Hebrew and Hebrew transliteration. |

The KaddishBands™ Story |
Some time ago, I belatedly learned that an old friend
had passed. There were no services to attend, no
family to console, and yet the loss stuck with me, and
I needed to express my grief. In this professional
world, wearing all-black was not an option. An obvious
and intrusive arm-band was also not an option.
Even a torn ribbon on the lapel would invite too many
questions, intruding upon my privacy.
|
 |
As a Jew, the Mourner’s Kaddish has provided comfort
and outlet for my grief in the past. I
wondered: "If there was only a way to carry the
Kaddish with me, outside of the formal prayers and
services." |
That question led to the creation of the
KaddishBand™. A black band, embossed with the
first four words of the Mourner’s Kaddish. Subtle
enough to be worn in a professional environment, but
substantial enough to help a person express their
mourning. The feedback we have received has been
tremendous, especially from young people: "This has
helped me so much;" “People should hand them out at
funerals;” “My class could wear them for Yom
Ha'Shoah...” I personally wear my Kaddishband
several times a year, and it is a great comfort. We
hope that Kaddishbands™ will provide you with the
comfort that they have given us and so many other
people. |
